You open the app (or get to our website), and as soon as you log in, the browser shows you which Practitioners are nearest to you. You can send a Massage Request to one or more Practitioners, by selecting them, and indicating what type of massage you’d like, for which duration, when, where (at the spa, at your place, or at the Practitioner’s place), and for what price range. The Practitioners that receive your Massage Request and accept its terms will come back as Matches; you will then choose which Practitioner you want to confirm the Booking with. Alternatively, if you do not want to initiate a Massage Request by selecting specific Practitioners, you can simply send a General Massage Request with a specific set of criteria (including the distance range), which will be sent to all of our Practitioners that fit the selected set of criteria. Practitioners that accept your Request will come back as Matches, and you will then choose which Practitioner you want to confirm the Booking with.
Absolutely! Our platform is free for Clients. You simply pay the cost of the actual Booking.

We have a wide array of massages available. Please consult our homepage for a description of all the available massage types. Some Practitioners may have customs massages on offer; when they do, you will find these listed within their profile.
This is precisely why using our platform is such a great thing to do. As a marketplace, we have a large number of Practitioners registered with us, and each of them has their own price schedule. At Massagix we give you the power to determine what price range you would like your massage to be for, and all interested Practitioners will get to reply to you Request! That’s the essence of our marketplace. Of course, if you want to book a massage with a Specific Practitioner, you will then have to conform to his or her price requirements.
Occasional Practitioners are massage therapists that provide massages on a part time basis and are not professional massage therapists (they may or may not hold a massage therapy certification). On the other hand, Professional Practitioners are fully committed massage therapists who do this as their main occupation. When choosing your massage, you have the option to select whether your Massage Request is to be sent to Professional Practitioners only or to Occasional Practitioners as well. Please note that all medical oriented massages are to be directed to Professional Practitioners only, and we further recommend that you give priority to those classified as Professional Verified and with a high level of Rating.
Professional Practitioners are identified with a check on the top right corner of their browser picture. Professional Verified are identified with a double check on the top right corner of their browser picture. A Professional Verified Practitioner is a Practitioner whose certification has been verified. Please note that Occasional Practitioners do not have any checks appearing on their browser picture.
We give you the option to choose which Venue you would like to have your massage at. As such, when sending your Massage Request, you get to select if you prefer the massage to be provided at the Spa, at your place, or at the Practitioner’s place.
When sending a Massage Request, you have the option to specify if you have any flexibility with regards to the start time of the massage. If you do, you may specify how many minutes you accept to delay the start time of your massage to accommodate additional potential Practitioners who may not be available at the initial time requested.
You send a Massage Request to one or more Practitioners and get replies in the form Matches. When sending the Massage Request, you specify the type of massage, the duration, the venue, the date and time, the maximum distance from your location (or any location of your choosing), and the price range, and well as some other additional optional criteria. You also get to choose to send your Massage Request to specific Practitioners you select, or have it sent as a General Massage Request that will be sent to all the Practitioners in our platform that fit the criteria you selected your Request. Practitioners that accept your offer will appear as Matches, with both the distance and price being mentioned in their reply. You then choose the Practitioner that best fits your needs and confirm with him or her. Once that is done, your Massage Request will then be Booked and Confirmed.
Of course you can. Just select that one Practitioner that you wish to book your massage with and send him or her your Massage Request.
You may send a Massage Request at any time and for any time of your choosing, as long as it is at least 30 minutes ahead. If Practitioners are available, they will reply to your Massage Request and you will be notified of the Matches.
Hopefully in a matter of minutes. As we deploy across cities, some areas may have more Practitioners than others. The response time will hence vary depending on the area and the chosen set of criteria you have put in your Massage Request.
If you do not get Matches to your Massage Request, please verify that the criteria you have selected are reasonable, in particular price and distance. Try to relax some of the criteria in the Massage Request and send a Massage Request again. If there are still no matches, we may simply not be present in your area quite yet. But we will soon!
Once a Booking is confirmed, the only changes you can make is to cancel it should you have to.
Please go to the Booked Massage Request that you need to cancel and click the Cancel button. You may cancel the Booking free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Please be mindful of our hard working Practitioners who rely on your confirmations to plan their schedules.
The best way to secure your Booking is to use a debit or credit card. Practitioners will feel more comfortable applying to your Massage Request and confirming the Booking when it is secured via card. Should you not be able to use a debit or credit card, you may opt for a cash payment to be remitted to the Practitioner at the time and place of the massage.
In some instances you may have a currency defined in your profile that is different from the currency being used by the Practitioner. For example, if you are a US citizen traveling to the UK and booking a massage in the UK, you will most likely be using USD as currency while the Practitioner will most likely be using GBP as a currency. In these cases, a conversion is done to indicate the approximate cost of the massage in your currency. The actual amount debited will be subject to the exchange rate at the time of confirmation and may include bank and conversion charges. This will result in a slight variation from the amount shown indicatively in the confirmed Booking.
You may choose to block a Practitioner by clicking on the Block button. Once that is affected, the Practitioner will no longer be able to receive any Massage Requests sent by you, and will no longer be able to communicate with you. However, if you have a confirmed Booking with that Practitioner, you will have to cancel it if you no longer want to proceed with the Booking. Normal cancelation policy will apply.
Communication with the Practitioner is an essential part of our platform. You may communicate with a Practitioner in two ways; using general messaging within the App if you want to contact a Practitioner for a general question, or using the thread messaging within a Massage Request if you are messaging regarding a given Massage Request.
Practitioners cannot contact Clients via the General Messaging unless they have previously had a confirmed Booking with you. They can however message you via the thread of the Massage Request that you have sent if they are one of the recipients of that Massage Request.

We’ve created a new system that gives you all the freedom that you want, and lets you choose which Massage Request you want to take! Here is how it goes; Clients send Massage Requests with a certain number of criteria (distance, price range, time and date, venue, etc), and if you fit the specs of the Massage Request, you will receive this Request in your Dashboard. If you like the terms of this Massage Request, you can apply to it by simply clicking on the Apply button and your offer will be automatically sent to the Client, with your predefined price specifications calculated. If the Client selects you offer, your Booking then becomes confirmed and you will be notified that you have been selected to provide that massage; it will also show on your Dashboard as Confirmed, and will also post automatically on your Calendar. To help you navigate all the Massage Requests that you may receive, we have put in place a filter that lets you define which Requests you would like to filter and review.
When you join our platform, you will first need to register by providing simple information about yourself such as your name, your date of birth, your country of residency, your email address. You will then fill in your profile, by indicating the massage types that you are proficient in, and the prices that you would like to input for them. If you would like to be classified as Professional Verified, we will need you to attach your Certification, so that we can run a check on it and have it verified. If a verification is not possible, you will be classified simply as Professional.

We’ve introduced the concept of Occasional Practitioners to allow gifted but not certified Practitioners to be able to apply to basic non medical massages. If you feel for example that you can perform a great Relaxation massage but are not a Professional, you can still join our platform and apply to these Massage Requests. Clients have the option to select whether or not they also want to consider Occasional Practitioners in their Requests and if you know your way around great massages, you may very well be selected to provide that Massage.
When you go to the Massage Types section in your profile, under My Information, you get to check which massages you want to show as part of your services, and you can input your prices there. Please be mindful that prices are input in a per/hour basis. You can then add discounts for Duration, and supplements for Venues. You can also input promotional prices if you would like to do so. All this gives you the flexibility to have a price curve exactly as you want it to be. And you may increase or decrease your prices as you see fit for you.
You may want to use Promotional Prices to better manage your Booking flow. In this case, you can go to the Promotional Prices section and choose the start period (date and time) and end period (date and time) of the promotion and specify the discount that you would like to have applied on your regular prices. Please note that this discount comes in addition to the Duration discount (if you have one in place). By reducing your prices, you may be able to receive more Massage Requests, and also be able to have more booking flow in your down time.
As the platform grows in size and more and more Practitioners join in, some Practitioners may choose to use the platform as an additional way for securing Bookings. Having the Active Availability ON shows Clients that you are actively seeking Massage Requests on our platform, and this will hence drive more Massage Requests to you. This option needs to be checked on a regular basis as it only lets you indicate this status for the current day and three days forward. Having this option ON also benefits you with a better placement in the Browser.
The first place Clients go to is the Browser. In there, they will see the profiles of the Practitioners. The order in which Practitioners appear will depend in good part of the distance from the Client, by will also depend on a number of other factors; how active a Practitioner is on our platform, how good the Rating is, whether the Practitioner is in a Promotional Period or not, whether the Practitioner is on Active Availability on not etc… Please note that Cancelations of Bookings adversely affect the order in which you appear in the Browser; as such we encourage you to limit cancelations to a strict minimum.
Yes you can, and here is why it totally makes sense to allow you to apply to as many Massage Requests as you would like; When you receive a Massage Request that is of interests to you, you go ahead and apply for it but you still have to wait for the confirmation of the Client. Since the Client may choose another Practitioner, we let you apply to other Massage Requests that may be overlapping. But as soon as a Client confirms a Massage Request with you, all the overlapping Massage Requests become inactive for you, so that no other Client can confirm you on an overlapping Booking. It works for you, and it works for the Clients!
If you opted for the Booking to be paid via card, then as soon as a Booking is confirmed, the card of the Client is debited and your amount is secured by us. We then send your fees to your account a few days after the Booking is completed. We allow for a few days to make sure that there is no litigation of any sort. If you opted to be paid in cash, you will then have to make sure that the Client pays you directly and then clear the cash commission that is due to us. If the Client does not show up, you will have no way to get your dues, which is why we highly recommend that you always opt for the payment by card option.
Clients may cancel with no charge up to 48 hours prior to the time and date of the Booking. After that, the full amount of the Booking stays due, and you will receive your payment in full (minus our commission fees). If it is you who need to cancel a Booking, please remember that this can cause great dissatisfaction to the Clients, and we ask that you limit cancelations to rare occasions. Please note that in the exceptions of Cancelations driven by security concerns, frequent and excessive Cancelations will adversely affect your placement in the Browser and may lead to your removal from the platform. Kindly apply only to Massage Requests you will accept to honor should you be confirmed by the Client.
You need to input your bank account details in your Finance section. Your funds will then be transferred automatically to your bank account at regular time intervals. If you have not specified your bank account, the funds will stay in your wallet until you do so.
Your bank account will be needed for us to transfer your earnings from your Massagix account to your bank account.
In order to be able to transfer your balance from your Massagix account to your bank account, financial services regulations require us and our payment solution Mangopay to proceed with a verification of your identity. As such, we require from you that you send us a copy of your passport or your residence permit or your driver license depending on your country of residence.
If you opt to have the Booking paid in cash instead of by card, you will then be responsible for paying the commission fee that is due to us on that Booking. Since it applies to Bookings paid in cash, we refer to it as Cash Commission. Please note that when unpaid Cash Commissions reach a certain amount, you will no longer be able to apply to Massage Requests. Your access to applying to Massage Requests will be restored as soon as the unpaid Cash Commissions are brought back down to zero or to a level inferior to the maximum limit allowed. To pay your Cash Commissions, you simply make a payment by card to our bank account via our platform (accessible in the Cash Commissions section).
The most likely reason is that you may not have cleared your due Cash Commissions if you have been booking massages through the cash option. In this case please effect a payment to us to bring your Cash Commissions back to zero or to a lower level than the maximum limit allowed. You may also not be able to apply to a Massage Request because you have a Confirmed Booking that overlaps with that Massage Request you are trying to apply to. It may also be that you have been blocked by a specific Client and hence cannot apply to the Massage Requests initiated by that Client. If the problem is of general nature, it may be that you have been suspended for a breach of our terms and your account is being reviewed.
Please report it as a Litigation as soon as the time and date of the Booking is passed. If the Booking has been confirmed with a payment by card option, your fees have been secured by us at the time of the Confirmation, and you will be receiving your fees. If the Booking has been confirmed with a payment in cash, then there is nothing we can do but urge you to always prefer payment by card in order to help secure your Bookings.
If you choose to block a Client, you will no longer receive Massage Requests from that Client, nor will you be receiving messages from that Client. Please bear in mind however that should there be a prior confirmed Booking with that Client, that Booking will not be affected until you formally cancel it should you choose to do so.
Reporting An Issue
Should this happen, please use the Report Litigation option which will be enabled as soon as the time and date of the Booking has passed. This option will stay enabled for 24 hours and we urge you to use it as soon as possible. We will then investigate the matter and once your claim has been verified, we will issue you a refund. Our Practitioners are aware of the importance of honoring their commitments and know how that affects their standing and their Ratings in our platform, but it may simply be that a case of force majeure has made them unable to honor the Booking.
Should you feel that the service rendered was in no way acceptable to you, please use the Report Litigation option which will be enabled as soon as the time and date of the Booking has passed. This option will stay enabled for 24 hours and we urge you to use it as soon as possible. We will then investigate the matter and determine the proper course of action. Please also make sure that you give the Practitioner a Rating that reflects your displeasure. Our Practitioners are well aware of the importance of delivering the best service and know how that can affect their standing and rating in our platform.
Should you find yourself in a situation that raises questions, or should you feel that something is off about the Client or the Practitioner, please use your judgment to first carry yourself to safety. Then immediately contact your local authorities and then contact us. Should you feel uncomfortable about a Booking prior to its due date and time, please do not hesitate to cancel it. Trust your instincts and keep your safety always first.
Our platform intends to be the biggest massage marketplace around. It is very important to us as it should be very important to you that you only engage in legal activities during your Bookings. Should you be faced with an unethical situation, please report it immediately to us either via the Litigation Report or by contacting us directly. As a community, we will benefit from the great conduct of every member but can also suffer from the poor conduct of a few. So please enjoy our platform in great spirit and show all the respect and proper behavior that every member deserves.
